The Story

Hello, my name is Anaclet NSABIMANA. I was born in Gisenyi, in the western province of Rwanda. I lost my father during rwandan Genocide of 1994 when I was only 4 years old. I was raised by my mother with my young sister and young brother who died at my age 10.
I met Elisee NIYONSENGA when I was a little boy, He was a neighbour whose mother was my mother's friend and workmate too and he was 2 years older than I. During Genocide of 1994, his mother died too and Elisee started to struggle much for his sisters and brother. Elisee quitted school for the sake of his family's well-being because his dad was unable to take care of them due to the economic problems. My childhood best friend and neighbour, used to collect grains off-the ground at the shops in our hood and I was the keeper until he collected enough for selling and buy me either groundnuts, maize or banana as his trusted keeper's reward.
Living in the streets of our town, Elisee was my big friend and inspiration because he never failed to feed his sisters and brother whom he had to lodge to his family's friends just for a month then move them to another house when it becomes so boring to the first family.
My family's situation was not bad because my mother had a good job to take care of her 3 kids and I was the first-born. The time came when I had to start my secondary school in boarding school she was not able to provide everything for us and her friends started to help for my school. The time I will never forget is the time I was about to quit school and a friend tell her that whatever I miss He will give but I don't quit because I was an intelligent student and my luckiest day was when I got a NGO to support me.
Being a good student I couldn't waste their effort and money because I studied hard and got my scholarship where they had to only worry about my sister because the government had to provide all I wanted as a student.

On the other side when I was in the boarding school Elisee was also still struggling until he started an acrobatic group of street kids and now He has become one of the best circus artist of Rwanda with his team called Future Vision Acrobat (FVA).

When I completed my Engineering studies I met Elisee again back home and talked about how we can change the lives of the children living in the same situation as he used to. That's how we came up with an idea of using my skills like a programmer, photographer and graphic designer together with Elisee's art skills to try to change and bring laughter to the lives of poor kids especially those who live in the villages because sometimes they used to escape families and join the streets of towns hoping for a better life but that's where their life get worse.

Now, I started this foundation with the help of Elisee and his team trying to restore smile on these kids faces by to helping them at school for those who have no means and bringing them back to school once abandonned, I also try to bring back kids to their homes because there is no life in the streets and sometime as an event organiser we organise events together with Elisee's cirkus team to reach the kids in the villages and occasionally on Christmass we always have to make amazing events and share with them some laughter and gifts to make their life as fun as for those who were born in rich families.

This project started when I moved from my home to the Northern Province of Rwanda in the villages of Mitobo, in Volcanoes National Park neighbourhood where I met Joseph Lipollis, A man with a really golden heart. I had to work with them and I also felt devoted to help the kids of this village for 8 months I stayed in this coldest part of Rwanda.
Joseph helped me to to change the lives of some children with really touching stories; some were abandonned by the parents at 7 ages and they had to survive the life they were living. 8 months later, I moved to live in Musanze town with 9 kids who were living in the streets where Joseph and hiss friends provided everything we needed because I lived with them in the same house.

KIDS STORIES

KIDS are like Angels

Anaclet NSABIMANA C.E.O & Founder

"...I devoted my life into helping the Kids because they are innocent. If they had choice they would have chosen to be born as kings and rich, so they don't have to be victims. I don't like to see a kid crying, starving or missing school.

It's not their fault, they have right to smile too ..."
